Health benefits
If you’re a member of the IATSE Local 856 Health Plan, you’re eligible for benefits coverage to support the wellbeing of you and your family.
- Your hours worked in the previous calendar year;
- The contributions that are automatically paid by your employer to the Health Plan, as a percentage of your wage, set out in the collective agreement.
The more hours you worked during the previous calendar year, the more you contribute, the higher your coverage level will be.

ANNUAL ENROLMENT
Each summer during our annual enrolment period, you’ll receive an email from our plan’s administrator summarizing your coverage level and dependents for the upcoming year and your beneficiary for your group life insurance.
If your level has been reduced, you can choose to make an out-of-pocket top-up payment to keep your current level of coverage.

Log in to our plan administrator’s website to:
- Confirm your coverage level
- Update your contact information, dependents and beneficiary(ies)
- Re-enrol (during the annual enrolment period only)
