The IATSE 856 Women’s Committee is asking for your help to provide warmth, confidence, and hope to underserved children in our community. Operation Warm ensures that brand-new coats and shoes go to kids that need them the most, and IATSE 856 has begun a fundraising campaign to help support them.
Operation Warm’s mission has always been focused on the whole child. Their tagline, ‘more than a coat’ means that the coats and shoes that are provided don’t just offer physical warmth, but also emotional warmth, the confidence to socialize and succeed, and the hope of a brighter future.
As part of this fundraiser, IATSE 856 will select a school to sponsor. Since schools have been closed for the summer, the Women’s Committee will be selecting a school in the next few weeks. The hope is that we raise enough funds to be able to provide coats and shoes to more than one school!
